It's not a machine, it's a part of you. Even if you could turn it off,
you'd have to turn off the ENTIRE thyroid gland (not just the little bit
extra the super part gives you). Last I heard, turning off your thyroid
gland was not a good idea.

Failure to eat the extra food would result in malnutrition.
