But the spell grounded through a physical being BEFORE crossing the
manabarrier, now if it had to cross the manabarrier before grounding.....
But then I say use whatever floats your boat. I'm not sure what passage
in SR2 or the Grim you're referring to but I see Manabarriers as barriers
in the Astral only in so much as they limit astral travel, ie are a
barrier to movement. Glass is a "Barrier" in the physical plane but
doesn't stop th ecasting of spells through it whether the casting mage is
astral or not. I guess it depends on how you interpret "barrier". I must
admit I can't remember if spells can't be cast through wards, but like
Medicine Lodges and Hermetic circles I say manabarriers only add to the
TN of a spell.
