etc) of the Assault rifle, it is actually a carbine version of a sports
rifle (sports ranges and ammo), ie it loads 7.62mm rather than 5.56mm
(yeah, OK, and all the rest).
The 5.56 is a fast, light round with a smaller calibre, and the 7.62 is
a 'full-sized' rifle round that's heavier and more powerful, but (probably)
travels slower.
Based on the FASA-kno-nothing'bout-guns principle, I'd say that
Power is due to speed (but that falls down with heavy pistols,
shit!) and damage level is due to the weight/calibre of the round.
Keep the Steyr AUG Carbine, it's a great weapon, 'till the FofF came
out, it was one of the best ranges weapons with a flat D damage.
my PC's love em, especially after I made some slight modifications
in their stats, to give better variation between variants.
Don't fogert the Steyr AUG H-BAR (Heavy Barrel) Light Squat Auto,
with belt'clip feed LMG stats and full-autofire, porbably one of
the few concealable (1+Long coat = 3) LMG's around :-)
