This came up before; I think the answer was a yes.

Though, from a scientific standpoint, thermographic sight probably
wouldn't be in the natural eyes of something anyway. "Thermographic" or
heat-sensing, like that of pit-vipers, is done through heat-sensitive
pits in the skin, not any visual organ.
Why should trolls of whatever need thermographic sight? I'd think
low-light would be much better, for miving around at night... and if you
want to argue that they'd live underground in caves without any light,
then they'd better develop sonar or they would be bonkin' into walls.
