I'd rule that most bioware can be upgraded - after all, it's a biological
system, so it ought to be able to stimulate it to higher levels via
drugs/retrovirus treatments/genetic 'switching'. Bear in mind, though, that
the rules specifically state that some bioware is not removeable -
specifically neuralware such as synaptic accelerators - which kind of makes
sense, as cutting this stuff away from the original tissue is going to be
next to impossible. But I don't see why growing som more would be too hard.
