Well It might be cheap as a fast responce team for ultra high threat
situations, but I dont think that its that suited as a security
measure. A spirit would be way better for that job. And dont forget
the level of expertise the conjurer would have to possess in order
to summon such a thing, I agree that even a vanila runner *could*
do it (with lotsa luck and good intentions), but that doesnt mean
that he'd be willing to risk his neck bigtime to do it.

Yep, I can see a corp with huge magical resources routinely using
such spirits/elemental for different tasks (reminds me of the story
about the magician Zessler in Prime Runners - it mentions a very very
strong spirit hunting down enemies of Aztechnology), but I dont think
that its feasible for your average run-of-the-mill corp.

Firearms wielding cybered runners have a snowball's chance in hell.
But people that know a thing or two about melee combat and perhaps
have a weapon focus or two and the support of a gutsy magician
would probably stand a chance. Melee combat intensive groups
with one or more PAs and mages should stand a good chance against it.
