I would say no for most swords and melee weapons, except the katana
which actually is much better to use two-handed. No mather what
people say about superiour Japanse weapon smiths, you could never
beat a monosword, so the damage from a katana used 1-Handed should be
Strenght+2M). Also katana's are much lighter than their equivalent
European counterparts and thus compensates for lack of mass by
superiour cutting edge.
The other swords listed in SR are one- handed (just look at the Ares
Monosword in SSC; it has a guard which can never be used two-handed;
then compare the damage with the other swords).
I personally rule that any melee weapon with a reach of 2 (except the
monowhip) is a 2-handed one.

If you could use a 1H-weapon with two hands, I would say multiply the
user's strenght by 1.5 to calculate the 2H-power level.
