I've got an html document on monofilament whips. Basically hard ceramics
stop monolines, as do other monolines. Some shadowrunners(especially those
with monofilament whips) may think about lining their armor with
monolines(GM NOTE: I'd say 2-3 times the original amount outta cover it:
monowire is VERY expensive) The above tactic might actually be used in some
corps, except what happens when someone misses a web of wire(it is
practically invisible..) and an expensive wage-slave walks into it.(How's
THAT for early retirement :-) ) Also note that most armies have monolines
or hard ceramics lined into armor to keep monofilaments from working. Now
THAT would be a nasty surprise to Mr.
I'veGotAMonofilamentWhipAndAnActiveSoft:20! Coincidentally: If monowire is
dropped on a floor, the floor is NOT cut! If anyone's interested in the
html site I got this article from, I'll post the name of the site. Oh:
Monowire makes a GREAT substitute for barbed wire. I just found out that it
takes a few seconds to respond to a cut by monowire because the synapses
misfire :-) Tie monofilament wire at head and leg levels when being persued
by security forces and watch the bodies of rent-a-cops pile up :-)
