My wolf shaman decided beta-grade Wired-II was more use than a power focus:
you can't ground a spell through cyber, you can't dispel or destroy it,
and it doesn't put you on +2s to sustain it. With that, a smartgun link
and good cybereyes, he carries a HK227 in firefights and usually passes for
a samurai until he starts throwing spells. (Our campaign is hard on
spell locks et al...)
