No, but they apply some artificial "essence" crap for obvious game
balance purposes.

Huh?

1: There is no such thing as cyberpsychosis in Shadowrun. Instead
there's an even more artifical rule of "you can't go below 0 essence"

2: You can't just make up negative effects of artifical equipment
without some kind of evidence. While current technology isn't SRs level,
we do have enough experience with artifical limbs and organs to know that
there doesn't appear to be any psychological effect to having them, nor
any kind of maximum physical limit to how many you can have.

Thus, to lend any credence to "cyber psychosis" or "essence" is just
not
realistic. Now, we all know it's a game, but to pretend that any
cyber-limitation rules are realistic is just foolish. It's a game
balance mechanism.
