I assume you mean to refrain from making snide comments. If you meant not to
say what I am about to say, I apologize in advance.

What I am about to say is thus: role-playing is even worse than acting in
that we play things we haven't even the shadiest chance of ever having a real
clue about. We start by playing trolls and elves. We continue by playing
men ( and women :) ) in 2050. We end by playing people who murder callously,
and know things we don't know ( I know very little about firearms,
demolitions, or the guitar ).
I don't mean to flame you, just to emphatically disagree.
