Linux is very good, if you know VERY well what you're doing. Many
people think OS/2 is hard to install, with cryptiv options and
everything. Those people certainly never tried to install Linux. Althoug
the text-insterface part is pretty straightforward, the xfree one is VERY
complicaed. I am well versed in computer terminology, and althoug i've
tried 4 times to install it, I was never able to get it(xfree that is) to
work. So yep, its a free, very powerful OS, but only for computer
hackers(to which it is targeted anyway). As for free software, it's good
only as long as you can get it to compile!
