The only problem I had with his books was that in every single
one I can think of off the top of my head, the protagonist always ended
up having casual little chit-chats with CEO's of major megacorps. Now if
you were a CEO of a major megacorp, why would you waste your time on some
dirtbag? The justifications for said wastes of time were, IMHO, pretty
weak.
As far as character development and storytelling goes, though, he
was pretty good at it.
