Most of the members of our group do war-gamming as well, when it
comes to complex and big battles there is nothing like moving you
little lead figures around, IMHO it adds a great dimension to the
game.

But enough of this.

I would hazard a guess that some of the simple games exist, as
well as the stratergy games such as chess. There seems to be a trend
(here at least) that games are starting to go 3D, word puzzles etc. I
agree that games such as VR-Doom (XXV) would be popular, if I
remember correctly in Buring Bright, it is mentioned that the
daughter of whats-his-name was busy playing something similar to
modern Arcade games...
