Well, our gm said that some of us (the samurai caracters with high steet
ettiqutte) Had heard of a troll runner with 4 arms. This was before
cybertechnology came out, so I assume he meant cyber arms, or graft on meat
arms, not those gun mount cum articulate arm thingums (although if you just
want to shoot guns, there you go, problem solved- just get the book). And
yes, he was reputed to be a melee terror.
As our groups cyber guru, this dude has been a running specualation of mine,
everytime I visit my doctor.
So, how done? Well you need new sholders. You don't want to imbalance or
cramp the body, so the arms should be smaller than normal, or the torso
larger, or the sholders mounterd to and just above the pelvis.
The new cyber torso is convienient, but other major sugery would be
possible- the extra arms need not be cyber. Any cyber rules would be home
grown, anyhow. Implanting bio arms would be deadly invasive surgery, twice
(once for each arm).
Obviously, controlling the arms is the tough part. A custom Skilwire
system, maybe driven by an encephalon, or two skilwires slaved to an
encephalon (one for each set of arms), would probably do the trick. Would not
really matter wether the arms were cyber or meat.
Abnother sick possibility would be an artificial syamize twin- the arms have
thier own brain.
Or maybe the guy was just born that way. It happens- well, I don't know of a
case like that, but ther have been 4 legged,2 armed people- the rusult of an
underdeveloped syamize twin.
Oh, did i mention this is Chicago we play in? Can you say Flesh Form! Our
GM is known for sledgehammer hints that all the players miss (we are to buissy
pretending we havenmt read sorcebooks that our caracters should not know
about.)
