Now this is a bit of a spoiler, so if you dont want to get spoiled stop
reading.



The module sez that the runners see any totems/gods they happen to believe
in aprove of their actions or something. It doesnt say that X and Y totems
stand there and give them a bit smile. Now as I understand it this is
a 100% case of WYTIWYG, the players know that they have made a
very important decision (sacrifising themselves to rescue the world) and
so its only natural for them to get all mushy inside and start seing things.
A christian would see God, a shaman would see his totem (or his totem and
God) but that doesnt mean that those figures actually exist.
