The way I see it, the smartlink projects a crosshair into your field of
vision; if you point the gun behind you while looking in front of you, you
don't see the crosshairs. You could of course try to fix a camera onto the
gun and feed that into your smartlink...
This does exist in CP2020 -- look at Solo of Fortune, there is a section
about scopes that do just that in there. Easy enough to use in SR, too.
