A smartlink is a series of jyros and position indicators in the joints that
compute the direction that the gun barrel is facing. I also has a limited
rangefinder, if the smartlink didn't the trajectory would continue out of
your field of vision. It does not have a camera built in. A camera would
be way too disorienting. You would wind up puking your guts out when you
run from the disorientation. I assume it has a set of pins or interface
that locks your weapon into the same position everytime you grab it.
