Risk pieces work great too. Used to love it when we played **&* and our DM
would say something like "You see a group of orcs coming over the hill"
and then dumps a whole box of pieces onto the mat. The piece that represented
10 armies in Risk was always the leader, and the favorite target of most if I
recall. Great fun.
