}>I disagree, I have a fairly fast character and 9/10 times I spoil everything

}>before something happens. (mostly by accident) If you are fast that means
}>you have a killer initiative. That means you surprize more ofter than being

Talking of killer initiative, one of our character recently got
Boosted 3 placed in. It was great role-playing fun as this character
desperately tried to learn how to control his new reactions. eg
D: 'I blow him away!'
GM: 'The insect in front'
D: 'Yes....No! The one in the door'
GM: 'Roll WP to change action'
D: 'F**k, failed'
GM: 'Okay, roll to hit the insect spirit'

or

GM: 'You hear a slight scrape behind you'
D: 'Spin around, draw my gun and fire, that'll take about two
rounds'
GM: 'Roll reaction'
D: 'I've never seen so many sixes before !'
GM: 'I take it that the rat is history'

}>surprized.
}
}I distinctly recall that virtually the only times the samurai in my regular
}group got surprised was when there were insect spirits involved... Quite
}simply because he couldn't beat their extreme Reactions. Against anyone else
}he used to usually have enough successes to shoot at least one or two of the
}opposition, and that would have been against a group of NPCs the (slower)
}other PCs wouldn't have had a chance against.

Surprize is one of the best advantages. Our mage Phoenix, before he
became a pyromanic, used to be called Mask for a very good reason.
His disguise skill is huge, add that to his mask and illusion spells.
Best to date is we as a group, 1 human, 3 elves and a dwarf walked
into the middle of an troll homestead. We walked out as well...
