Well, this depends on how you play it. In most games I've played
in, the smartgunlink had a sort of dedicated display link that could
project the necessary data. The hardware is already there to project the
cross-hairs anyway, so it's not a great leap to include the other stuff
as well.
It does *not* give you full display link capabilities, though.
It's kind of like the dedicated chipjack for the orientation system.
