Dont ya get it, thats the point. No matter what you put into a character
if you dont give him wired 3 he will never be able to compete with the
big boyz, at least speedwise. Wired 3 is *the* major boost for a characters
initiative. This works somewhat like the priorities system, deciding to get
wired 3 is something like allocation priority A for speed. Thats why its
so costly both essense wise as well as money wise.
As for the various game/world mechanics rationalisations, well their
ok, but as long as we dont know how cyberware is supposed to work I dont
think that any rationalisation will be convincing enough.
