I assume that you want to play this by the book and not invent some
house rule. If you read the description of the barrier spell in SRII
you'll see that its possible to alternate the size/shape of the barrier
created. So in order to make a barrier the size of a house you only
need more success/more force (I dont quite remember right now).
As for its potency, well it depends on the force of the spell,
you can use blood magic to jacj up the force if you like. Read the
barrier rules in SRII they explain what it takes to take down a barrier.
