Thinking about riggers, sensor and optical targeting, et cetera, I
suddenly flashed on a nasty idea.

Take a gyromount. Put a sentry-gun base on the mounting point, and a
suitably unpleasant weapon on that. Strap someone with no firearms
ability whatsoever into the gyromount and have him walk towards the enemy.

After all, if the sentrygun works well in a fixed mount, why not on a
mobile one? Use a constrained arc of fire and some sort of IFF to
allow troops to co-operate, but it's *way* cheaper than wires or boosted:
besides, kill the soldier and the gun is still able to shoot!

Or eliminate the person: put the sentrygun on a drone and use it as
a "steriliser". Send it in, and kill everything that moves.

This could make for some interestingly unpleasant NPCs. Comments or
suggestions?

In fact, the next move is up to him." <R.A. Lafferty>
