Ummm, I don't think so. There are 140 people at my company, all located in
one building, and I know about 20 by name (the ones I work with), probably
another 30 or so faces, and the rest I would never recognize. Seattle is a
helluva lot bigger (obviously) so the shadow community would be more widely
dispersed. But I would agree, as someone pointed out earlier, that the
fixers would certainly know most of those in the shadow community, and by
comparing notes with other fixers, probably even their whereabouts.
