O.K., guys, I thought about this problem once more and here is what
I think could be a final conclusion:
On page 98 you got the table which indicates which barrier rating
which materials have got (plus the doubling for security doors). This
is the base number for all calculations.
The general rule for combat spells is: "double the barrier rating"
which works against all physical combat spells.
In the "Ram"-spell description it says that you halve the indicated
barrier rating - this is a special rule which replaces the general
rule of doubling (I think this is the usual way: special rules replace
general rules for special occasions).
This is how I think things would make sense - any comments ?
