The amounts of traffic on this list are taking up too much of my time,
especially when I sometimes can't read the mail for days and end up with a
huge backlog.

I've pretty much tried everything I can do about this, but have been
unable to solve the problem. So now I'm faced with having to consider
unsubscribing.

So here are my questions:

1) Is there any possibility (or enthusiasm, for that matter) for splitting
the list into two separate lists? I've noticed that many others have
been unable to keep up with the traffic as well, and maybe a somewhat
smaller amount of messages would also activate some lurkers? Maybe a
split along the lines: a) ideas, news, etc., and b) rules questions
could be made? For instance I am more interested in a) than b).

Sure, there would still be overflow and messages wouldn't always be where
they are "supposed" to be, but it would help. People with the time could
be subscribed to both lists, while less fortunate people such as myself
could choose one of these lists.


2) Could somebody let me know more about the digests?
