But if he's tortoising or using 'trodes, then he wouldn't be affected by
the Matrix like that. Neither was the dragon in "Dragon Hunt"... until he
actually went the whole hog and jumped into the Matrix.

(Furthermore, Dunkelzahn admits in the Aztlan book to using a decker to
do all of his fancy tricks.)
