I tried that, but it didn't work for me. When I do it, a couple of days
later I find that there was something interesting in the messages I
deleted I would have loved to comment on. Also, the list's subject lines
tend to be pretty unrelated to the discussion sometimes (I know, I'm as
much, if not more, at fault as everybody else).

Same would happen if I would unsubscribe, then subscribe back for a few
days at a time, PLUS I would miss messages aimed at me, PLUS I do not
always know when I will be unable to read my mail.

What I am doing is I read the most recent thing in the thread first, then
I just skim through the previous messages in that thread. It still takes
too much time.

I figured as much at first as well. I know it might be somewhat more
difficult, but hey, we've got NERPS, etc., as their own lists as well and
it works. PLUS there might be more and better traffic when the lists
would be somewhat more defined in content.

But I can see that I'm not getting much enthusiams here. Too bad.
