Not neccisarily. When working with radiation, most everything is based
upon probability. You could run naked through a waste facility and be
uneffected, but the chances aren't really high. Some of the Doom cells
would be killed, but enough would survive that it would get in your body
and frag with you till you die. It would be about as bad as inhaling
Uranium dust, probably the most assured way of killing some one with out
getting your hands very messy. The alpha particles will destroy large
amounts of internal tissue, in nature this dosn't happen very often
because any thin substance(like the dead layer of skin surrounding yor
body) will stop the alpha particles, but once it gets inside and keeps
decaying, kiss you butt goodbye.
