OK, since the mage vs sammie thing is getting on my nerves...and I'm sure a
few other people's nerves too. I'll hit you all with a question that's come
up in a campaign I'm running.

There is a cyber street mage decker in this campaign. He started the slide
when he lost his eyes, 1 point of magic from deadly wounds, and two friends
(a sammie and a decker) all in one corp ambush. The character in a major
karma/money guzzler but he's always interesting. Anyway I want to introduce
otaku into the game. I'd like the otaku to be a NPC and I want the mage to
"find" her. I think it will be a her. I want to pull as many heart strings
as possible. On top of that I ant it to be the dead decker's (a dwarf)
niece/daughter of something else related. But along the lines of pulling
heart strings I though the child would work better as the same race as the
mage (ie human). So can a dwarf give birth to a human? I've read nothing to
say it's not possible and since humans, orks and trolls have been stated as
giving birth to the opposite race, and human's can goblinize from "normal"
human parents. Can UGE babies still be born the humans and humans born to
UGE adults? The elf description says that twins are unusual. Only one twin
is elf and the other is USUALLY nonviable. Also what happens when an (say)
ork and an elf get married. What race will thier children be? (For those who
think its not possible look at the Lyle Lovett/ Julia Roberts match and then
tell me it can't happen :)) How about a troll and a dwarf? Before everyone
scream baby size on birth I've got some numbers based on average weight and
birth weight percentage.

All weights are averaged.

Dwarf 3.0 kg or 6 1/2 lbs
Elf 3.7 kg or 8 1/4 lbs
Human 3.9 kg or 8 1/2 lbs
Ork 4.0 kg or 8 3/4 lbs
Troll 5.6 kg or 12 1/3 lbs

Thes assume the birth parent is the same race as the child. the race
description says % of mother's weight. So a dwarf could feasably give birth
to an underweight troll. Maybe?

Any agreements? Disagreements? Apathies? or am I just making a useless
attempt at getting everyone off the mage vs sammie thing?
