Well, it started when I really decided to play a mage. The GM took one look
at him and said (and I quote) "yikes". I asked him what the deal was and he
started asking me quesitons about how I would run the character (mainly my
high force/low drain theory combined with my elemental gang theory combined
with my D resources and B skills theory). I didn't use locks, I didn't use
foci of any sort. The karma I got for my background went to sorcery skill
(which became an 8).

Anyway, after that chat went to a bar and became a magic discussion, we
decided that the game would be more balanced if I didn't play this mage and
maybe stuck with a physad or a samurai. Which I like more anyway (partly a
product of seeing too much mageness here and on the newsgroup).

So I'm now a samurai/physad for life and dedicated to stomping out rampant
mageness wherever it rears it's ugly rear.
