There's a big difference between buying a weapon and carrying it around
with you all the time. I have absolutely no problem with players buying
LMGs, sniper rifles, assault cannons, missile launchers, or whatever. If
it's during character generation or after three years of play doesn't
matter to me either.

Just don't expect to take it with you everywhere you go. My usual way of
explaining this is saying something about a few dozen cops, each of
whom has a Firearms skill of 3 or 4, initiative 4+1D6 or so, and an Ares
Predator, and doing a bit of fuzzy maths with damages, successes and Body
ratings.

Because that is what *will* happen to anyone carrying heavy ordnance into
a civilized area. LS will shoot first and question your relatives later.
Doing the same thing in the Barrens (especially at night) will be a lot
safer cop-wise, but gangers may take an interest, which could be just as
unhealthy.

I'll agree with Mike here (for once :) It's annoying to read, and not
necessary at all if you quote the original text like almost everybody else
does.
