I hoped It would never happen, it happened, I made a faux-pas :) The story

You are 100% right. Period.

I haven't been on this list before. I am new. I am a poor inexperienced
list-er, but I have bought Shadowrun (1) when it first came out, and have
GMed it in both of its editions for almost 6 yrs. now, and although you are
perfectly right in telling me that stereotypes should be avoided,
stereotypes are there also to be followed, mstly because stereotypes ARE, in
acertain way, the reflection of what you feel. I won't continue the
philosophical discussion, I will just say that I appreciate the difference
in views, and you made your point very well. I also think that you are very
lucky if you can play in a group where "Samurai use 'ware *sometimes*". In
most of my players' opinions, a samurai is built. It might be lack of
imagination, it might just be that their imagination is more focused on
other things (how to survive? What dresses to wear at a corp party? How to
behave on a beach? Is it better to be friend or enemy with the crazy
rigger?). *I*, as the GM, actually don't care what a samurai is. After all,
this is just a game, samurai don't actually exist (or rather, they do, if
you prefer, but 'ware does not (yet)!), and if my players expect sams to be
something, it is often just better to let the world conform to their
expectations rather than force them in believing in something they cannot
believe. To this end, they are forced in living in reality every day... Not
to mention that having sterotypes well enforced leaves you free to spring
some nasty surprises of VERY un-steretyped NPCs now and then... (imho)

Coward me? Annoyer me? :) Is this the usual way you say "welcome" to
newcomers? :) :) :) :) :) I will face the consequences over the list, if
that is better with you. I didn't want this message tagged as "Make money
fast" :) I never did any money, imagine if I could do it fast! :) It was
just lack of netiquette. I apologize and will jot it down for the next time
I express some opinion freely. Really, sorry. :)
