I have recently used with a lot of success the maps from DMZ and
from Sprawl Maps with the nifty stand-up counters from the DM
screen AND the DMZ movement rules, modified. The maps give quite
a lot of atmosphere for the game, and if you let the players
move only on the dots (one figure per dot), they speed up
movement and fire tenfold. I usually rule that if the PCs run
(they move 2 dots), they cannot fire, and if they walk (1 dot),
they have the usual target modifier. I know it's
oversemplifying, but it works wonders! Also, the maps provide
with lots of cover and stuff. Pity they're so EXPENSIVE!!!
But if you already own DMZ, try it!
