Not when you consider that the ranges given are appropriate for a
firefight in downtown Seattle, 2050. Regardless that a high powered sniper
rifle has a maximum effective range on the order of a kilometer or more,
the fact is it is nigh unto impossible to achieve a direct line of sight to
a target at that range in those conditions.
