Although all you said is true, an assault cannon cannot be silenced like the walther MA
2100. Even though you may be firing the weapon from a kilometer away, the chances that
someone will notice the loud report of an assault cannon as opposed to the quiet pop of a
silenced sniper rifle are extremely high, and the sniper rifle is damn near as deadly.
Connecting the report to a guy being blown apart by an explosive round wouldn't be too
difficult. Also, even if you break down a panther assault cannon, it would still be
extremely difficult to get through any security, as compared to a sniper rifle you could
break down and place in a briefcase.
