I once ran something off the Daedalus, and considered writing source
material for Shadowrun in space. I like having orbital weaponry, hotels,
skyhooks, powersats, and national and corporate places like G-O rubbing
shoulders. Notes are somewhere if people are interested.

NASA facilities got bought out by Ares: another company bought up the CIS
Mir station. Of course, that still leaves out national military launch
facilities, which today are possessed by U.S., France (Ariane corp),
Brazil, India, China, Russia, Japan; I'm not positive but I expect the
Brits and Germans don't have trouble either.
So, re: Shadowrun I'd expect the Big 8 megacorps, Fed-Boeing, whatever corp
owns Ariane, all the suborbital carriers, UCAS, Japan, C.I.S., U.K.,
France, larger German states, possibly Italy, India, larger Chinese states,
elven South Africa (favorable location), Amazonia (though they may have
dismantled Brazil's operation), Argentina (if it's still around) and
Australia to be rubbing shoulders up there.
