Depends on which parts of the book. The background, and the sections
posted on Shadowland I believe are fairly decent. Cool ideas, cool
settings and design. The cover frightens me a little, (esp. since I
thought the dragon was The Big D at first) but otherwise the 'in
context' stuff seems really good.

The problems I have are entirely in the GM's section. the guys at FASA
put a lot of energy into the setting up of these threats. The rules on
them, I have to put it blatanly, just suck rocks. Some of the rules
are just really 'out there' and IMO don't fit the background that has
be written for them. Some of them, I feel, ruin a perfectly good plot
line. And some are just this side of decent. I don't like any of them
at all.

*shrug * I may just be lucky, but I've never had anyone object to taking
a seat (in a chair, if any, or on the floor) and reading a book... What
actually frighens me is I know someone who won't buy a book until they've
read it at least twice...

As I said above, modifying the rules section is something I think every
self-respecting GM needs to do. To be annoying, modify them towards the
opposite of what the text implies, and annoy the munchkin. Or use my
policy: every in charcter comment, or out of character hint to another
player, when the characters involved have no way of having that knowledge
is -1 Karma for the run. And I have given out negative karma rewards,
before.
