It does for nature spirits, but not for elementals. Has there ever been
an elemental with a personality, like a nature spirit?


Yes. In the novel(I know I know) Burning Bright, Kyle Teller's elementals
all had personality(tho not as much as his Free ex-Ally, but that is to be
expected).
