I disagree with your interpretation of how things would work. Given
that I haven't got my book in front of me as I write this, feel free to
rebuff the following to your heart's content. You said (in part):

Ok - I have no problem with this in that those on the astral can affect
dual-natured creatures and vice versa. (Both a benefit and a liability
depending on your point-of-view.)

This I disagree with entirely. The problem with this is that Ivy is *not*
dual-natured, and you cannot affect physcial objects from the Astral
unless they are, or there is a conduit between the Astral and the
Physical planes (such as a focus or the like) nearby.
An extension of your thinking is that anyone on the astral can force
anything with a lifeforce into a Willpower test - the loser dying. This
is silly. (Imagine magi able to kill people with their superior willpower
from the Astral plane. So long as they were braced against something
organic, if all they had to do was punch someone...)
