Not at all. But the reasoning I use says that forces are present in the
physical plane that aren't present in the astral plane. Things like walls
(have no aura which impedes movement but block the line of sight), or things
like gravity and air/water pressure are only in the physical plane. To
repeat myself, "Because gravity seems to be solely related to the physical
plane (for this I'm using the many descriptions of astral entities floating
in mid-air and flying through astral space) and every physical object has an
"astral echo", it appears that the physical plane has priority over the
astral plane." So the astral being cannot move a physical object by moving
the aura of the physical object. If the aura was disconnected, then the
astral being could move the aura.

Again, refer to my theory of the physical plane having priority over the
astral plane. The motionless astral mage now covered by the FAB's aura
tries to move the net. The net is connected to the aura, the net is a
physical object, acted upon by physical forces. The net doesn't move.

It's like you need two levers to move something. One an aura [astral], one
physical. When you're astral, you can only use the astral lever. You can't
move the physical object. When you're in the physical world, you can use
the physical lever and your aura moves the aural [astral] lever. (This is
similar to the physical-physical bridge described for synchronizing auras
for spell casting)

And if you hate FAB so much, what are you going to do when the mage buys a
potted plant, puts a grenade in the pot, and bring the plant floating to the
site and drop it? Are you going to outlaw foliage in your game?

Actually, FASA brings up this point in CorpSec. In the 'black' information
posted on page 40, Dybbuk asks "if somebody astral can't move or pass
through something with physical mass, how can an astral being travel through
air filled with any bacteria?" His question is never answered in the
'fictional electronic document' or the GM Info section. And according to
the rules FASA has set up and because of the 'no two auras can intersect'
rule, astral travel is impossible [!] because of this point.

To allow astral travel in your game (and FAB) is to say that FAB is the
smallest thing that has an aura. FASA has never come out with any rule that
says this, but this should be assumed to allow for astral travel.

So we have [Corollary Three] A non-magical living object must be of a
certain size to have an aura.
