|With high frequency hearing, you can detect ultrasound, which means that
|otherwise inobvious sensing mechanisms stand out to you. Both low and high
|frequency hearing are going to make it possible to notice illusions (magical
|and otherwise) that aren't producing the right frequency components.
Low frequency soundwaves travel farther. And (I think) low frequency
hearing allows you to hear things like heartbeats and earth tremors
(before they become apparant).
