Talon is a human (?) mage, I believe. He is Steve Kenson's (author of
Awakenings) personal character. Steven Tiner (on this list) was on a
Shadowrun APA (Ameture Publishing Association) about five to six years ago
along with Tom Dowd. He used Talon a lot in there, and quite a bit of the
material in Awakenings is actually material Kenson first published in the
APA... Talon may have been an elf, but I believe he was human. At that
time, he was NOT immortal, although his status now that Kenson is part of
FASA may have changed...:) I've read those old APA mags that Tiner has, and
they had some good stuff, as well as plenty of Fluff...:)

Honestly, I think it's hard to as closely affiliated with the Art of
Shadowrunning and not have close ties to some metas. A high proportion of
runners are Metas, due to the fact that it's the easiest profession for a
meta to succed at, especiall the orks and troll. Now I'm not saying they
CAN'T do anything else, don't get me wrong. My char Bull is probably the
smartest Ork ever to live, and I know he has the highest Intelligence
possible that an Ork can get. I'm also not saying taht shadowrunners aren't
racist. Some are, but if you run the shadows for long, you're bound to have
to learn to cope with metas, and most runners just don't have that
prejudice. Plus, Cap has a good set of morals, and knows what's up.

Is Tiger a male or female? I get the impression that Tiger's a she, and if
so, may not have escaped the Mantids totally...

There's a few, I think. But ya hit the big biys, I think. A couple more
are the Neon Antichrist (guy who wrote most of the Neo A stuff), Bung, SPD
(or some variant thereof, he's an ex-cop giving the point of view of law
enforcement),Nuyen Nick, and Argent.

Also, a note on Smiling Bandit... He's a good decker. Watch out for him.
