Was this Elf astrally projecting?? If he was and he had the drop on you..You
got what you get..However, it sounds as though the Elf was NOT astrally
projecting..and in this case..it is impossible to ground spells..Plain and
simple..The whole grounding thing is done from the astral plane to the
mundane plane..If the caster is resident on the mundane plane..simple spell
casting is the only way to get the mystical job done..
