I think the Digital Mage (welcome back, BTW :) is right, I can't recall
reading anything about having to give a watcher an order as soon as you
summon it, but:

this would be a solution in that case, anyway. And if you want to be more
accurate in your commands, try " attack it till you're dead" :)
