I use loads, one of my most recent and memorable was an ork street doc who
had a very short temper with anyone who got in teh way of doing his job,
or who questioned his diagnoses. What was really good was that I'd only
played him once as an NPC when in the next game another GM used him with
teh same characteristics and when one player IC questioned what he was
doing all teh other players winced in anticipation of what they knew would
happen next (some even ducked). He manmaged to get a predictable and
rounded personality with only one prior appearance! :)
