I think something has been misinterpreted here. Mages are just as much made as
deckers are. *In addition* to training, you must be born with the competency to
be a mage in the first place. This suggests that mages are the rarest of the
archtypes (standard ones anyway). With information being the most valuable
commodity around, anyone looking to get ahead in the world that wasn't born a mage
might think to get into the information trading buisiness....that requres some
good deckers. I think you will find that deckers are more common than mages.
