As a point of reference NO modern military sniper rifle (with the
possible, but unlikely exception of the .50cals) has a silencer. Nor
are any of them designed to be fitted with a silencer because they
are individually balanced out. A silencer or other attachment would
throw that off.
As you and others have said already. Doctrine for most militaries is
to take 1 or 2 shots and leave. From the 1km distance most snipers
operate, there is little if any chance that anyone will catch you.
