However it was brought up on the list a while back whether an astrally
projecting mage who manifests visibly would set of an electris eye alarm
by breaking the light beam.
The overall opinion was that it depended on whether you believed mages
were truly creating a visible presence on the physical plane (in which
case the electric eye thing would work), or whether they were more like a
mana illusion and insinuated themselves upon the minds of onlookers who
_interpretted_ that insinuation as a manifested visible form.
This latter opinion also brought up the question whether a mage could
select exactly who could see and hear him -a bit like Al in Quantum Leap
:)
